So what do we do?

We keep ourselves busy with a wide variety of stunts, including the world famous Carnage! This is Birmingham's biggest bar crawl with all proceeds going to charity. Carnage began in March 2000 as a cross-city Birmingham event, in league with BCU and Aston RAG's, though we did most of the work due to our history and reputation. The hard work we put in, has enabled other universities to run their own large bar crawls. Now in its tenth year, our Carnage is the original and the best, with tales of it spreading the world!

We have a tradition of running Charity Hitchhikes all throughout the UK, from Brighton and Newquay and as far away as Edinburgh! In 2006 we started our first International Hitch to Dublin, and in 2008 we went to Amsterdam! Hitch is a great way to see new places and raise loads of cash for charity, as well as making sure Carnival RAG keeps its reputation around the country.

Enigma is a relatively new event, which has taken Birmingham by storm. We take coach loads of students out for the night to different cities all over the country, with our own Carnival RAG twist that only the Vice-President External knows where we're going before we get there! Crazily fun nights, and we even found Duncan from 'Blue' in Manchester!

Of course we remember our Carnival RAG roots, and continue the good work with RAG Raids, and more recently joining forces with the ‘Megaraids’ where loads of RAG’s get together and bucket shake like crazy, all for brilliant causes.

Carnival RAG remains strong to this day, as one of the Guild of Students' most active societies, and we are still aiming to raise over £100,000 each year.

We have a lot to live up to, but we are determined to bring back the magic to Carnival RAG!
